Last weekend devotees from the B.L.I.S.S. Fuengirola had the opportunity to be present in the Ink & Art tattoo festival organized by Jaganatha Balarama Prabhu and his wife Radharani Mataji that took place in the halls of a luxurious hotel of Fuengirola. The devotees were invited to sing bhajans and they also had a stand with prasadam like cookies, mango nectar, incense and other gifts. It was such a wonderful opportunity for devotees to distribute Srila Prabhupada´s books there. Devotees were too much enthusiastic and arrived around 3 pm to the event ready to distribute as much prasadam and books as possible in the service of their spiritual master Srila Prabhupada, they first organized the stand that was given to them so it looks nice. Paramahamsa prabhu, Atri mataji and Krishna Kishor prabhu were in charge of the organization of the stand, later on these three devotees along with Purujit prabhu and Jagannath prabhu did a kirtan on a small stage. Devotees described it as a wonderful experience. As soon as Purujit prabhu started chanting all the attendants were curious about what was going on, even it seemed it was a completely new thing for them, people started gathering just in front of the devotees who were singing the bhajans and along with the chanting of Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama , Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare some attendants were clapping while others moved their legs and others just stared at the scene very surprised.
When the bhajans finished Krishna Kishor prabhu started distributing books and he was approaching all the people who seemed interested in the Hare Krishna stand. Actually, even though people might have not been into meditation or spiritual life they were very interested to get to know about the Krishna Consciousness philosophy and they were taking small, medium or even big size books like the Srimad Bhagavad-gita and gave donations with great satisfaction. The cookies were a complete success and even became a sort of addiction for some people passing by. So happily they were giving donations to the devotees and everybody liked the coconut nectar.
Atri mataji was taking too many nice shots and also she was talking to the people who were passing by, trying to attract them to the stand and making sure everything was going on smoothly. Paramahamsa prabhu was giving massage to the tired tattoo artists and distributing cookies and coconut nectar with a big smile saying Hare Krishna to everyone.
Next day devotees repeated the same formula and many people who had not taken anything the day before were either giving donation for books, cookies or coconut nectar. Everybody was wondering who these weird guys were but at the end the tattooers and attendants were very polite towards them. The day that the convention was over came and the devotees took all their stuff to go back to the temple and thanked to Jagannath prabhu and his wife Radharani mataji for the opportunity of being at the convention.
